Laurel Ley: Marketing from the Heart
Case Study: Laurel Ley
Laurel Ley first came in contact with Design Intense‘s founder, Eliza Alys Young in 1999 when they both offered their services to a non-profit animal sanctuary because they share a love of animals. The sanctuary suggested the two work together on redesigning the sanctuary’s logo and website. The project went so well that they joined forces for several years in Wolf Imaging, the web design company Eliza founded in Jacksonville, Florida. When the business relocated to the Dominican Republic, however, they parted ways for a couple of years as each pursued their own projects.
In 2003, after the disasterous Hurricane Katrina, Laurel approached Eliza to see if she would contribute Design Intense‘s services for Healing Heart Sanctuary, which was heavily involved in the animal relief effort in New Orleans after the hurricane. Eliza agreed and they have been working together once again on various projects related to animal welfare as well as a new ventures.
